Sari Uchida

As a teenager I studied drawing and the history of art (both Japanese and Western art) at Joshibi University of Art and Design in Japan. I became interested in printmaking after graduating and studied the basics privately for six months from a professional tutor in Florence, Italy. My style is figurative which works well when the subjects are animals. For now, Zorba, my cat, is set to make regular appearances in my work. Still have a secret desire to study printmaking “properly”!
